Gathering Families, Advancing Change
Melanin Children Matter hosts events that support families facing rare disease, pediatric ALS, and neurodevelopmental conditions like autism, with a focus on Black and Brown, rural, and medically underrepresented communities. Our events include awareness days like Neurodiversity Day in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, advocacy and medical literacy webinars, and school partnerships that bring neurodiversity education directly into classrooms. Whether in person or online, every event is built to connect families, build advocacy skills, and expand access to research and care.

Upcoming Events
New events are added throughout the year, from in-person family gatherings to online advocacy trainings for the rare disease and neurodiversity community. Nothing's on the calendar right now, so join our email list to be the first to know when the next one drops.
